Niño Manuelito with Thorn
Representing the encounter of the Spanish Catholic culture and the Andean conquered population, Niño Manuelito was the way in which the local people started calling Baby Jesus, although some say it could have been a completely different character.
This Niño Manuelito figurine is handcrafted in rice plaster over wood, hand painted and hand decorated with local fabrics and applications, to make an original dècor piece. Made by artists of the Wiracocha craft workshop, rooted in Cusco.
